Rider 50 is a quaternary ammonium compound with exceptional microbiocidal properties for use as a disinfectant, sanitizer, deodorant, germicide and algaecide in Aquaculture.Rider 50 is a cationic surfactant used as "topical disinfectant" to remove ectoparasites from fish, prawn and shrimp. It has detergent and antibacterial activity and is effective to treat bacterial, protozoan and monogenean infections. It is also recommended as bactericides and fungicides in shrimp hatcheries. Widely used in shrimp ponds to control infections.Rider 50 due to its stronger cationic detergent activity, not only triggers the moulting activity in shrimp and prawn but also controls pathogenic microbes. Rider 50 is a strong cationic bactericide, finding wide range of applications in aquaculture. Rider 50 is very effective in control and prevention of all bacterial and fungal diseases in Aquaculture. Rider 50 is advocated for effective control of antenna rot, tail rot, gill rot, red gill, black spot, red discoloration and muscle necrosis in Prawn and Shrimp. Rider 50 is also advocated for effective control of bacterial infections such as gill rot, tail rot and fin rot and for effective control of Fungal attack on gills and body in fish culture. Rider 50 is advocated for prophylactic treatment of surface ulcers, wounds and lesions in fish culture. Rider 50 provides additional detergent action which is very important in the treatment of fish diseases.Rider 50 is particularly useful in treating external bacterial infections such as Bacterial Gill Disease (BGD). where myxobacteria are multiplying within a film of mucus on the gills. The dual action of Rider 50 inhibits bacterial growth in Fish.Rider 50 has a role, concurrently with specific oral antibacterial treatment, in generally reducing the bacterial loading in the water containing fish with bacterial diseases.Rider 50 helps in inducing moulting in shrimps and prawns.Rider 50 not only prevents water pollution but also deodorizes and purifies water. Rider 50 is not effected by rain and suspended organic matter.Rider 50 suppress algae from over reproduction, and stabilize algae colour.Rider 50 germicidal activity enhances in the presence of nitrogenous organic matter.Rider 50 is biodegradable, hence it decomposes leaving behind no residues and causes no pollution problem.Rider 50 increases cultivation density and harvest.Rider 50 provides biocidal action by inactivation of the enzymes, denaturing of essential cell proteins or disruption of the cell membrane. Rider 50 is lethal in a matter of a few minutes to the pathogenic bacterial spores as one part in several thousands of dilution. Rider 50 provides more biocidal activity at broad pH fluctuations.
Composition:
Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride: 80% with suitable stabilizers and activators.Iodophores are stabilised forms of iodine and are used worldwide as disinfectants for aquaculture practices.They also are used to disinfect fish eggs, shrimp eggs and nauplei and are effective against a wide range of bacteria, fungi and viruses. It is important that the eggs are not penetrated by the disinfectant.
